Ludurana - Fascinante

Happy Monday everyone!

Today i'm showing you a Brazilian polish by Ludurana called Fascinante from the Aurora Boreal Collection.  Everyone knows that MultiChrome & Holographic polishes are my absolute favorite type of polishes & this baby does not disappoint.  Fascinate is a MultiChrome polish that shifts from a burgundy red, to copper, to gold to green.  It was very hard to get it to shift to green but the primary color was burgundy red.  It is such a warm beautiful color.  It reminds me when the trees start changing colors during fall.  So bright & warm & gorgeous!!

The thing about these brazilian polishes are that they are very small.  8 ml's to be exact.  I purchased mine from Llarowe's for $14 which is pretty steep considering the size of the bottle.  But non the less it is GORGEOUS & in my opinion WORTH every cent.

Application was a dream.  You don't have to put underwear under these babies.  That's right, the formula is perfect to wear on its on.  Pictured below is 2 large coats of Fascinante on it's own.  I think i'm in love <3

Pictures below are in natural light on a very rainy cloudy day.  I'm not the best photographer but I did my best to capture the correct color.  But my pictures do NOT do this polish justice.

So what do you think?   Do you love Fascinante as much as I do?

My New Franken "Blue Lagoon Mist"

Happy Sunday everyone!

Today I want to share with you guys my new Custom Franken called "Blue Lagoon Mist".  Blue Lagoon Mist was named by my 10 year old daughter.  It was either that or "Blue-A-Licious" lololol.  (She cracks me up).  Anyway, I ordered a ton of franken supplies from TKB Trading & received the order on Thursday and I couldn't wait to try them out.  Well last night, I got to franking.  You should have seen me.  I looked like a mad scientist lol.  My middle daughter is 21 & even she was intrigued and sat & watched & critiqued the entire time lol.

Blue Lagoon Mist is a very light almost beach blue with a ton of soft micro shimmer blue & holo glitters.  I wanted something that reminded me of Sinful Colors Cinderella but with a better application & with dark blue glitter specs in it.  It came out EXACTY as I wanted & i'm so proud of it.  I used 2 different pigments from TKB along with the Luster suspension base.  I was worried that the glitters would sink because I didn't have glamour base but I woke up this morning & they were standing strong.  I think because the glitters are so small.

Anyway, enough of me rambling and on with the pictures.  Let me know what you think.

Pictured below are 2 coats of Blue Lagoon Mist with 1 coat of NYC in a minute top coat.  The application was BUTTER!! GO ME! GO ME!

Macro of Polish
Peep that blue glitter *pats self on back* lol
Stamped
I stamped Blue Lagoon Mist using Kleancolors Metallic Blue & Cheeky Plate X-Large Plate B

So what do ya think?  I'd love to hear from you.

Fierce Frankens 'Fun In The Sun" (Pic Heavy)

Happy Saturday Everyone!!

Today I wanted to share with you some amazing polishes from Fierce Frankens.  This is from her Fun In The Sun Collection.  I originally saw this collection on Polish Obsession's Blog who happens to be one of my favorite bloggers.  I fell so in love with these that I purchased the set & i'm so glad that I did!

First up is Rainbow Sherbet.   It is described as a light orange polish with  multicolored small hexagonal and micro glitters.

The name describes this polish PERFECTLY!!  It reminded me of when I was young on a hot summer day & my mother pulling out the triple flavored Sherbet.  You know the one with the orange, green & raspberry...YUMMY!  This is my favorite out of the collection.

Pictured below is 2 coats of Rainbow Sherbet with 1 coat of NYC in a minute fast drying top coat.  There were no problems with application.

Next up is Sea Glass.  It is described as a light blue/green polish with multicolored small hexagonal & micro glitters.

Sea Glass reminded me of the beach for some reason.  I don't know if the name put the beach in my mind or not but the ocean & shells on the beach popped into my mind when I first saw it.  It's stunning.

Pictured below is two coats of Sea Glass & 1 coat of NYC in a minute top coat.  There were no application problems.

Next up is Berry Slushie.  It is described as  a Lavender Purple polish with multicolored small hexagonal and micro glitters.

Everyone knows purple is my favorite color & Berry Slushie does not disappoint!  This polish reminds me of the streets of NY on a hot day & you stop to get one of those super cold ice pops!  Those things are delicious by the way.

Pictured with 2 coats of Berry Slushie with 1 coat of NYC in a minute top coat.  There were no application problems.

Last but not least is Pink Lemonade.  It is described as Watermelon Pink.  It supposed to put you in the mind of a large pitcher of Pink Lemonade & it definitely does that & does it well!!

Pictured below is 2 coats of Pink Lemonade with 1 coat of NYC in a minute top coat.

Note:  The sun refused to cooperate today.  All photos were taken in natural light on a VERY cloudy day.

I personally am in love with this collection.   What are your thoughts?

Apologies....

Hey guys

I just wanted to take a moment to apologize to the people who have taken the time to read my blog & comment on my posts.  I'm not the most Techie person in the world & I've been trying to get help on the weekends with my blog, Facebook & Twitter accounts.  It's hard for an old woman like me to keep up with all of this stuff.  All I can say is that i'm trying & hope to do better in the future.  The problem is when i'm showed how to do something, when they leave, I forget how to do it again lol.  I'm a work in progress.

I've tried to respond to all my Facebook, Twitter & Blog comments this morning.  I hope I didn't miss anything.  I love & appreciate all of you.

 Have a great day everyone.

My Shifting Franken (Red to Green)

I purchased some color morphing pigment a while ago from More Nail Polish a few months back & never  took it out of the package.  This is the same place I purchased my Spectraflair.  Well today, I decided to break that bad boy out.  This is the Red to Green pigment which is said to be the same pigment used in Clarins 230, Urban Decay Toxic & Max Factor Fantasy Fire.  I am lucky enough to have all three & I will be doing some comparisons in the near future.

But in the meantime, I am so happy with how this franken turned out.  I used a clear polish,  purple-ly base and one small scoop of my powder & shook shook shook!!  I tried it over a black base & it turned out terrific.  This bad boy shifts from red to green to yellow to orange & shimmers galore while doing so!!   I also tried it on my nail wheel over a royal blue base & the shifting colors looked much different but still gorgeous. I have so many ideas for this pigment & I'm so happy I purchased it.   Let me know what you think...

Excuse my silly daughter.  She loves poking fun at mommy

Ozotic 505...My New Love (Pic Heavy)

I have always wanted to own Ozotic polishes but was never unable to find them in the United States.  Well, my instagram buddies told me about Llarowe which sells them & I was so excited.  I finally own my very 1st but definitely not last Ozotic nail polish!!!!  And let me tell you, it's a beauty.  Now i'm sure all of you have seen a gazillion swatches on this baby but I don't care.  I'm in love & now it's my turn!!!

Ozotic 505 is described as a Multi-Chrome polish which shifts from dark green to dark purple to blue & even magenta!  It's GORGEOUS!  This baby is officially my absolute favorite polish.  Yep thats right, better than my Max Factor Fantasy Fire, my Clarins 230 & even my Purple Skittles Franken!  This puppy has stolen the top spot and i'm beyond giddy!

I purchased 2 of these bad boys.  1 for me & 1 for a future giveaway!  Enough of me rambling.  Let's get to the pictures.

Quilted Hearts - Trying my hand at Liquid Jelly's Tutorial

Happy Hump Day everyone!

Today I decided to share with you my attempt at completing a tutorial by written by one of my absolute FAVORITE bloggers Liquid Jelly  She completed this tutorial a few weeks back & I always kept in the back of my head that I wanted to try it.   Although my daughter told me i'm too old to be wearing this mani, I couldn't help but try.

I'm horrible at nail art but I was so proud of myself.  Although it's far from perfect, it just shows me that maybe next time I can do a little bit better.  I video'd myself during the process & it seemed everything in the world went wrong but I hoped to be an inspiration to other newbies who are afraid to jump in & try!  It's not perfect but I still love it.  Thank you Liquid Jelly for sharing your awesome talent!

No Name Teal Franken--UPDATE

One of my AWESOME readers gave me the perfect name for my Franken...TEAL APPEAL!!!
Thank you One Lpt!!

I've been a bit M.I.A as life has been extremely busy lately.  Last night I had a little bit of down time & wanted to create a dark teal nail polish.  The final product ended up being a beautiful teal sparkled polish with a "hint" of glittered shimmer but I couldn't stop there.  I added a VERY tiny scoop of Spectraflair just for a tad more pop.  I couldn't help myself lol.  Anywho, I ended up loving the final product.  My daughter told me that this color does not suit my skin but I love it just the same.  Any help with a name would be greatly appreciated.  Just drop it in the comments.  I assure you that I read each & every comment.

I added also added a video.  Please Enjoy

Chocolate Explosion & Purple Skittles Frankens

Happy Monday guys...

Today I was on instagram & was bombarded by gorgeous swatches of polishes with Spectraflair. They were unbelievable! I purchased 2 grams of the powder a few months back & decided to jump in & try my hand at an actual Franken versus a top coat.

I immediately knew I wanted to try a brown that I could like as browns tend to be washed out against my dark brown skin. Here's what I came up with & I LOVE IT!!  The Spectraflair seemed to EXPLODE in the Sun.  Hence the name Chocolate Explosion.

NOTE:  The video & photos were taken with my iPhone & do not do justice!  The video quality is horrible but I think u get the general idea.

Zoya Charisma ~ My First Born

Happy Monday everyone!  When Zoya had their B3G3 free promotion a few weeks I just HAD to purchase Charisma My oldest daughter is Named Charisma & I hurried & scooped this baby up.  I had been eyeing this for a while but because Charisma is a Neon, I felt I should wait until it was closer to Spring or Summer.

There are no words to describe Charisma's vivid, beautiful color.  Zoya describes this beauty as an Ultra bright neon fluorescent magenta/red-toned cream.  This neon shade dries matte, but also can be worn with a topcoat for a glossy finish.  I think the description is pretty dead on.

I used 2 coats in the photos below.  The formula was great & I didn't have any application problems.  t think Charisma is a young, fun summer color & whether you wear it matte or glossy, she's sure to attract attention.

So what do you think of Charisma?  Will you be wearing her this summer?  I know this grandma will.

Note:  Charisma was a beast when it came to capturing the correct color so I had to get my Photographer brother to hold his sis down & take the photos for me.  Thanks Brandon once again for taking a day out your busy schedule for me.  Too bad I can see EVERY mistake in my awful polish application.

NOTD Purple Stamped & Mattified....

Happy hump day everyone.  Today I wanted to share with you a mani I wore this past weekend.  I have been looking for Essie Matte About You for MONTHS & I finally received it i a swap from one of my dear friends on Instagram @nailartfanatic & I couldn't wait to use it!  I squealed when I opened my package because I had no idea she was going to include it.  It was a huge surprise.

Also, I just wanted to share that I am an amateur polishaholic.  I created this blog because I love polishes & nail art and decided to learn from other blogs.  I'm not in any way an expert.  I'm just a grandma enjoying sharing my addiction with other & learning everyday to paint my nails.

I appreciate everyone who takes a glimpse of my blog.

Base:  Nicole by OPI "My Prized Possession"
Stamping Polish:  Kleancolors Metallic Fuchsia
Top Coat:  Essie Matte About You
Image Plate:  Konad M57

I must say's I love My Prized Possession on it own.  It's a gorgeous purple.  As you know, Purple & Pinks are my fav lol but I'm determined to tackle becoming a proficient stamper.

I think it came out awesome!  I'm so proud of myself.  Let me know what you think.

NOTE:  All pics were taken with my good 'ole iphone.  This is for fun right? lol.  I may invest in a good camera soon but I'd rather just buy more nail polish.

Avon Sunshine Stamped...happily surprised!

Hello everyone,

Anyone who knows me, know that i'm a huge fan of purple & pink polishes.  In fact most my collection is comprised of purples & pinks because that's what I gravitate to.  I usually have to force myself to go out my comfort zone to purchase other colors.  Well, today I wanted to go out of my comfort zone & share with you a beautiful YELLOW polish by Avon called Sunshine.
I was very nervous to even try this polish because I have deep dark brown skin & I was afraid I would look ridiculous wearing it, but I saw one of my Instagram buddies post some pictures of her wearing yellow a few days ago & it looks stunning on her brown skin.  I'm so glad I did because I think it looks amazing on me!!
I decided to add some stamping with my Cheekly X-Large plate A for fun
