Peacock Nails Plus Gradient

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope you enjoyed your weekend.  Mine was super busy & it always seems to go by too fast!  Anyway, as most of you know, i'm trying to get better at doing nail art.  A few weeks back I purchased some water decals from the Born Pretty Store.  I decided to use them in this design.  I must say I actually enjoy using water decals.  They are super easy to use.
Isn't it pretty?  I feel in LOVE with this!
** I started with a 1 coats of Wet n Wild White polish as my base & let it completely dry.
** Next I sponged on Rescue Beauty Lounge Aqua Lily & Zoya Zuza at the tips of my nails.  Note:  You can barely see the sponging affect at the tips because the water decals cover it but trust me its there.
** I added 1 coat of my quick dry top coat & let my nails dry completely.
** Next I followed the directions on the water decal label & added the decals to the tips of my nails..
**Lastly, I sponged Aqua Lilly further down the base of my nail, cleaned up my cuticle, & sealed it with a top coat.

VOILA!!!!  All Done!!
I am so happy with this look!  You can purchase the water decals from here.  I must admit, shipping took forever on the decals but considering they were so cheap it was worth the wait.  So what do you think?  Will you be trying water decals?

My First Attempt at Cut Out Nails

Hello everyone.  I hope you had a fabulous Independence Day!  I'm an Independence baby & I had a blast on my birthday!  I haven't attempted any nail art in so long! I came across a picture on Instagram from  ChelseaQueen called "cut out nails" aka negative space nails.  Her nails inspired me to want to learn how to do nail art again.  Be warned, mine came out nowhere NEAR as good as Chelsea's did but I am so very proud of them!

The colors I used were Rescue Beauty Lounge Aqua Lily, Sinful Colors Black & Zoya Charisma.  I topped it off with a coat of Seche Vite.

I'm so stoked at how these turned out.  I apologize for my iPhone pictures, my daughter broke my good camera & I haven't had the opportunity to purchase another.  If you are interested in knowing how to do these nails please visit Chelsea's Web Page.  Let me know what you guys think!

Happy Mother's Day & Rescue Beauty Lounge Aqua Lily

Happy Sunday everyone & a HUGE Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there!  Today I present to you Aqua Lily from Rescue Beauty Lounge.  Don't worry ladies, this is not the one i'm giving away.  I managed to swipe 2 of these bad boys during the re-stock at RBL.

This is one of the most beautiful polishes I have ever seen.  When I first saw this on the site, I couldn't wait to purchase it but I missed the pre-sale & the day that it went on sale it was sold out before I could get to the site.  Talk about HEARTBROKEN!!  Then, a miracle happened!  Ji from RBL said she found some extras in stock!!  I stalked that site for HOURS!  Constantly refreshing the button so that I could finally grab me my Aqua Lily.  And let me tell you it was TOTALLY worth it.  It was quite thrilling to be honest lol.

Aqua Lily:

This is the description on the site:  A few years ago, I was lucky enough to visit the Kuda Huraa Island of the Maidives.  The turquoise water is a crystal-clear sea green and what really had me spellbound was that it reflected a shimmery-pink hue from the shedding scales of the colorful, vivid, and exotic tropical fish.  This color is Kay-Di Kat's homage to her beloved mom, Lily, who swims like an enchanting mermaid.  I imagine Lily swimming in this paradise with its mesmerizing water in the Island of the Maidives.

Enough of the babbling.  On to the pictures

The pinkish/purple shimmer is FANTASTIC!  My camera can't pick up how amazing this polish is!!
