Chanel Le Vernis Bel-Argus 667

Happy Saturday everyone.  I hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday.  My day has been filled with shopping for back to school.   Needless to say i'm exhausted but I couldn't wait to get home to share with you one of the beautiful polishes my sweetheart purchased me last week.

 Chanel Bel-Argus 667
Bel-Argus is one of the Limited Edition shades in the summer 2013 L'Ete Papillion de Chanel Collection.    It is described as a metallic blue.  It is a foil metallic duo chrome that morphs between cobalt & navy blue with the edges morphing between an almost blackened blue/purple-ish color.  In the sun, Bel-Argus is so vibrant & bright!  My iPhone wasn't able to capture this beauty properly.  But trust me when I tell you it's a stunner.  I was looking down at my nails all day!

Bel-Argus applied easily with minimal brush strokes.  I used 2 coats & no top coat.  I attempted to do stained glass on my accent finger.  Photos were taken in direct sunlight with my iPhone.

Bel-Argus can be purchased at Chanel.com or any Chanel Retail Counter.  It retails for $27 & again it's limited edition so make sure you get yours because it's definitely a beauty.  I'm so glad I purchased.

Chanel Paradoxal 509 Le Vernis

Happy Wednesday guys!  If you follow me on Instagram then you know that my sweetheart surprised me with a ton of polishes yesterday!  He's the most amazing man in the world!  It was very hard for me to decide which polish to wear but I grabbed an oldie but goodie from Chanel.
Paradoxal 509
Paradoxal is from the Fall 2010 collection & I must say it should be a staple in everyone's collection.  It is a greyed out plum/mauve color loaded with a purple shimmer.  During different lighting & angles paradoxal becomes a chameleon from taupe, to gray to dark purple to light purple!  It's so difficult to describe!  I must admit the shimmer displays much more in the bottle than it does on the nails but in the sun, the shimmer really shines thru.

Pictured below are 2 coats of Paradoxal & 1 coat of Seche Vite top coat.  I did a saran wrap marble on my accent finger.  I love the combination!  The formula was flawless.

Paradoxal his sky rocketed to one of my all time favorite polishes.  I received loads of compliments on my nails at work today!  Everyone was asking "what polish are you wearing"?  Every girl loves to hear that right?

Paradoxal retails for $27 & can be purchased at Nordstroms, Saks Fifth Avenue, Chanel.com or any Chanel counter.  The price tag is pretty steep for a polish but there are some dupes out there.  I own Revlon Perplex & it is a dead ringer & almost $20 cheaper.  Unfortunately, I'm unsure if Perplex has been discontinued or not but I definitely think it's worth the splurge.  Do you already own Paradoxal?  If so, what are your thoughts?  I would love to hear from you.

NOTD Different Dimension & Dior

Happy Tuesday everyone.  I received some EPIC nail mail from my sweetheart yesterday & decide wanted to wear ALL of them right away.  But unfortunately, I didn't have enough fingers.  Today I have for you an indie polish by Different Dimensions called Today Was a Fairytale & Dior Purple Mix.

Today Was A Fairytale is a gorgeous white jelly polish mixed with large pink & holographic circle glitters, multiple sized holographic glitters with the most beautiful pink/purple/holographic shimmer.  My iPhone could not do this polish justice.  I layered 2 coats over a basic white although it could very easily be worn on its own.  The formula was very good & the glitters did not have to be fished.

I also did a gradient using Dior's Purple Mix.  This was my very 1st Dior polish & let me tell you this sucka is SUPER pigmented!  The color actually dried much darker on the nail than in the bottle but I still thinks its very beautiful.  The formula was flawless!  I loved this mani!

Quilted Chanel Inspired Nails

Happy Sunday everyone.  Today I was watching youtube videos & stumbled across dullikeglitter's station.  She has an awesome quilted nails tutorial & I decided to give it a try & let me tell you I loved the outcome!

I used Sinful Colors black polish, Orly's Matted Satin Finish, Sally Hansen Insta Dry Silver Sweep & Stamping Plate KD12 for the CHANEL logo.  I love how it turned out!  It was so easy!!

NOTD - Love Stinks & Winter Hyacinth

Happy Sunday everyone!  I wanted to share the nails that I rocked this weekend.  I pulled out some of my "untried" polishes & decided they needed some love.  The polishes I decided on were CrowsToes Love Stinks & Femme Fatale Cosmetics Hyacinth.
Love Stinks:
Love Stinks is from CrowsToes ValenCrows Collection that was released back in February.  It is described as a strong woman's pink that shifts from blue to a red based pink.  When I first saw the swatches of this polish I knew I had to have it.  It had all the things I loved in a polish all rolled up in one.  When I placed it on my nails I literally gasped at it's awesomeness.  The blue glass flecks shift into the pink which makes it look purple as well!! How cool is that?  This polish is luminous & shimmery to the 100th power & i'm totally in love!  Love Stinks can be worn on its own but I chose to layer 2 coats over 1 coat of Sally Hansen's Magenta Moves.  Application was an absolute breeze!
Winter Hyacinth:
Winter Hyacinth is from the Australian indie brand Femme Fatale Cosmetics.  It is described as a soft teal cruelly with large white hexes & white matte diamonds.  It also has fuchsia hex & round metallic glitters & it is a stunner baby!  I love the squishy feel of cruelly polishes so I chose to use 3 coats on it's own.  I received so many compliments on my mani this weekend.  I was loud & bright & loved every minute of it!  I had no application issues.
I purchased both Love Stinks & Winter Hyacinth from Llarowe. Isn't it gorge??  Let me know what you think guys!

Colors by Llarowe - Zipper

Happy Monday everyone! Today I present to you another Colors by Llarowe polish.
Zipper:
Zipper is described on Llarowe's site as a dusty light blue soft holo polish.  It originally started out as a limited edition but has since been moved to CBL's core line & I couldn't be happier!  When I originally saw Zipper on Llarowe's site, it reminded me of what I perceived Ballerina Sprinkles by Enchanted Polish would look like.  I have not been able to obtain that polish & it's been on my want list forever but Zipper has cured my lemming!  I'm not sure if they're dupes or not but I've longed for a light blue holo forever!!
***All Photos were taken in direct sunlight with my iPhone***
Zipper is BEAUTIFUL!!  Although it is described as a dusty blue, in the sunlight, this polish beams & glows with almost a golden shimmer topped with a stunning soft holo.
Application:
Zipper is sheer but built up nicely.  It took  3 coats to get to full opacity & I topped it off with a coat of NYC In a Minute top coat.
Below I attempted to freehand a plaid pattern on my accent nail using Loreal's Jelly Polishes.  It's not perfect & I need plenty of practice but I still like it how it turned out.
Zipper has sky rocketed to one of my favorite polishes of the year & i'm so glad I was able to snag it. You can purchase Zipper from Llarowe for $12 USD.

Chanel Taboo #583 Le Vernis

Warning:  Pic Heavy

As I was strolling thru Instagram admiring all the gorgeous polish swatches, I ran across one of the most unique & beautiful mainstream polishes that I have ever seen!  I was immediately mesmerized by knew I had to have it!   This polish was the one & only Chanel Taboo #583.  All of the reviews I read state that this was a Limited Edition polish & my heart sank thinking it would be out of my grasp.  But then I did my own research & found this polish is part of the Chanel core line & immediately ordered it from Nordstroms for $27.  This would be my very first Chanel polish & I was ecstatic.
Chanel Taboo #583 was released as part of the Spring Collection Révélation.  Taboo is a rich, vibrant, deep purple-red polish loaded with iridescent sparkles of blue & purple.  The complex shimmer literally glows from your nails.  It has so much depth that it almost appears to shift colors depending on the angle you look at it.  Taboo is an absolute stunner in the bottle & is even more magnificent on the nail.  Although the bottle appears more plum-purple, when it is applied on the nail, it becomes an inky deep purple.  The super strong shimmer actually translates on the nail!   Taboo applied flawlessly.  Like smooth butter & was almost a 1 coater which excited me even more.  With ever brush stroke I was taken deeper into the trance that is Taboo.  It is hands down my favorite mainstream polish owned & I own well over 1000 polishes!  Taboo is so complex that it made it extremely difficult to photograph.  Especially with my iPhone!  I applied 2 coats Taboo with 1 coat of Seche Vite.  Next I stamped my ring finger with one of my Bundle Monster Plates.

Let me know what you think.  Will you be getting Taboo?

Dreamcatcher Nails

Happy Friday everyone.  A few days ago I stumbled across some dreamcatcher nails on IG from @memyselfandmynails & fell in love!!  I'm trying my best to get better at nail art so I decided to take a stab at them.

I used Wet n Wild white for my base & did a sponge gradient using China Glaze Peachy Keen & Wet n Wild n Wild Teal Crazy.  Next I had drew the dream catcher & feather using Sinful Colors basic black & a small dotting tool for the dots.  I finished it off by using China Glaze Fairy Dust & Hare Polish Electric Flame then I applied some teal rhinestones.  Although they didn't turn out quite as nice as hers did, I still loved them.  I wore them for 3 whole days (which is a stretch for me considering I change my polish almost every day)!!!!  Let me know what you think...
